No news yet, is it still possible for 2025 ? I hope BUGSFILMS isn't struggling again, but I'd rather wait longer if they are.
| @xmaxfreeze Fall is still getting new stuff scheduled into it and summer had some not too long ago, so I still wouldn't count production problems out yet but I find it a little unlikely as there isn't enough to say for sure. BUGFILMS probably doesn't want to repeat their previous problems so I'd assume they just don't want to commit to a specific summer or fall date until they're more certain. That or BUGFILMS is considering delaying it to 2026 but can't say for sure because it's still a ways off, who really knows how the production is actually going. I'd say this is probably a good sign because it likely means they're making sure they'll have it done on time. Setting a air date far in advance can usually only mean 1 of 2 things, either a studio is VERY confident they'll be done before they have to release or they're very optimistic about the production speed. Getting a set date for when production will finish is very hard to do, especially early on when many things are still getting figured out and potential set backs haven't been ironed out yet, once a production is at the point where all the episodes are in a "complete" state in the sense that they're all fully planned out, scripts done, storyboards done etc, and are already mostly animated but are not quite polished, edited and finished then figuring out a "good" release date is much easier to do. |

This is the first anime that I don't mind waiting a long time for, because its art is too perfect and it's very magical and pleasant to read and its world building and characters are magnificent, regardless of the year and season it arrives it will be one of the biggest highlights and has everything to be alongside Frieren as the best rated anime, but all this will only be possible if they get the adaptation right, so if production time is what matters then I hope it takes a long time, we need these magnificent works to overshadow this bunch of generic and dirty Isekai that they release every season.
| @Tomguinho I think BUGFILMS is a great choice to do this series, they showed what they were capable of with Zom100 even if that one had production issues. If they're able to take time to finish this and not be put in a position to release it unfinished then I think there's a very high chance they will do an excellent job at least on the animation side. I'd be more worried about the adaption side of things as it's highly likely a director will be contracted to work on this at BUGFILMS and the director is generally what decides how good or bad the adaption of a manga, or novel, etc turns into an animated form. Either way I'm hopeful and I'm glad that the talented animators at BUGFILMS are working on this since they're probably even overqualified for animating something like this which is less fast paced or action packed in terms of animation. |
