No, you don't need to watch anything. But it's preferable if you have some knowledge about Uma Musume beforehand.

Big Uma Fan (3 years) here who has read the Manga pretty far.
You do not need to watch anything. It features characters that show up in the other shows, but most of them have other characterizations in Cinderella Grey.
If, they also only show up as Background characters, CinGrey makes them main characters.
Watching the first season or the OVA (3EP) that´s for free on YT (Road to the Top) can help you to come to terms with the Uma Musume world.
The concept of Horse Girls that run for a chance to center an Idol Concert can be weird/cringe for many people at first.

As a newish fan of the anime I would recommend going from the beginning. Why start on this series, if you have an interest start at the start. Also you can start watching now and not wait. Just my thoughts.

my suggestion is like I take it just a living in earth there was any demi-human horse just race just a big circle like any other horse racing thing that would thinkable so I say I did watch all uma musume season so I take it the best one or half but why I got interest on was something like I found out of YouTube to see this but what I thought of it to watch back in 2023 and that was the first I have after before I started watch Isekai or another world recaination things so if you want to watch your choice to see or not
