I was thinking about how much time has passed since the release of season 1 and the arrival of this movie and I realize that being anime only is quite frustrating for all the waiting times there are, I mean after this movie is released how long will we have to wait for a 2nd season? And how long for a 3rd season? Unfortunately one thing I noticed is that you can't even fully enjoy anime because the waiting times are very hellish, 2 examples are Jujutsu Kaisen and demon slayer of which I recovered the manga because waiting every time for a new season was very tiring and I'm sorry because I know that I enjoyed them more as anime since I prefer anime to manga, another factor is that you can't live on the internet because most of the things of mainestream anime are spoiled relentlessly: Attack on titan is a clear example of this. So ultimately tell me you anime only how do you survive resisting the temptation to approach the manga ๐Ÿ˜‚?

By remembering that I'm patient enough to wait for the superior format.

i just wait for the series that are like masterpiece level (in my opinion of older seasons or other works of the same author) like for example attack on Titan , chainsaw man , one punch man and watch series that are very famous and mainstream like jjk, demon slayer and manga is superior than anime if done right like berzerk will always be

You are right I used to be a anime only and it was quite frustrating. I got so many spoilers from the internet. So I started reading mangas eventually. As for the waiting time I just watch something else in a mean time.

I watch like 10 anime every season, plus some older finished anime. It's nice to shift focus and see what else is good, instead of being worried about the same thing. I did that with Naruto, start to end, I didn't watch anything else. After I started branching out and realized what I was missing, I'll never do it again. It's one of the reasons I won't start One Piece anytime soon. CSM, JJK, KNY will be milked out to the last drop by their studios, with movies, 3 part seasons, etc, etc

For chainsaw man I’d just read the manga, the movie has a chance to be a let down.

Absolutely frustrating, social media has been spoiling the manga to no end to the point I’m getting spoiled on things that I wouldn’t have known was a spoiler if I didn’t see an earlier spoiler in the manga

I don’t mind, I have a lot of patience.

Regular Books, Shows, Movies, don’t usually have anything in between the waits for the next one, so I’m used to that kind of format.

I don’t read the written material, so I don’t care about anything needing to be written in the meantime.

I don’t generally get spoiler of the stories, nothing for this anime either, I’m not really on social media.

If I choose to be anime only, then I know the risks, I’ll accept that I can see spoiler here and there, but haven’t see the whole story, so I’ll watch the anime when it comes out anyways.

And people are saying there is written material to read, so I really don’t understand your comment.
ejleonJan 3, 8:06 AM
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

For those of us who are old enough to remember the days before streaming and the instant gratification of modern society, it is rather easy. Most shows, live action or animated, have about a year in between seasons. This is normal and doesn't affect my enjoyment at all. The down time is nice for redeveloping hype for the next installment.

Also not living on the internet trying risking exposure to any spoilers helps.

There's so many great stories out there that I want to read/watch/play that it's really not a problem for me, despite really enjoying Chainsaw Man.

@Cyberslasher Skill issue, I can avoid most spoilers. Only CSM manga spoiler I know is the Makima one and it doesn't bother me much.

first time? anime adaptations takes years to even a decade just look at bleach anime for example and even one punch man so ye you better read the manga if you cannot wait

The anime will come out when it’s ready, and me stressing about the wait doesn’t make it any faster. Essentially, we’ll get there when we get there

like others had said, i stave myself off with other franchises. there is simply way too much out there to hyperfixate on one series in particular

i had a blast with CSM but i don't spend every waking moment thinking about it

The most frustrating thing about being anime only is the spoilers. Some people can't seem to avoid spreading them as soon as new chapters come out.
Having to wait is just part of the business. It would be better to get a season quickly, but things take time to make. I'm also always watching other stuff, so...

Truth is:

If you're a Manga-Reader feeling special, cause you know whats gonna happen, in the story, because you read ahead, having a powerfantasy Moment, in the Forums...

Let me disillusion you
- Nobody cares what you know.
- We're not interested in you
- Be a human beeing and don't spoil us, it's not our fault that you're lonely

Thank heavens I'm alr a manga reader before the anime so props to past me for reading it first before getting spoiled a freak ton.

But yeah, I can feel how anime only feels for me as an example being Sakamoto Days. So far, I haven't got spoiled even if it's just a bit like when the arc starts getting good which I'm fine of.

I’m so glad I’m not into modern anime and manga, I feel for you people lol. Back in the day the average animation quality wasn’t as good, the adaptations might’ve been flawed, and there was a lot of filler, but at least we didn’t have to wait years for a batch of 12 new episodes. The modern anime fan has gotten used to the seasonal format. These days they want to make anime into this highly refined, internationally recognized product, and that comes with extremely high production values and wait times. I think it’s absurd that Demon slayer will end with a movie trilogy over half a decade after the manga is finished. Or chainsaw man part 1 ending approximately in 2027. Ridiculous. Imagine if they split FMA brotherhood into three seasons over a 6 year span. Almost unthinkable.

Anime used to function differently, that’s the thing. These days it goes by the seasonal format. Back in the day it would be a new episode every week until the end of the series for most shows.

yes because anime only hasn’t seen the crazy shit that’s about to unfold. this is the first anime that made me go check out the manga because 12 episodes barely scratched the surface of what chainsaw man is actually about

not really, since if you get spoilers for post what the anime covered and it takes a year or two for the next season/movie, in my experience, it feels fresh and new
