It takes place after Volume 11 of the Light Novel, which corresponds with the Visitor Arc in the anime as well. Thus, this movie is set just after Season 2 chronologically.

That's just Miyuki's pov of the events in season 1, iirc only the festival arc. Overall it's basically waifu fanservice so you can skip it if you want.

This movie takes place during Season 2 (before the last 2 episodes which is the tower blow up arc)

But yeah you're supposed to watch Season 2 before this movie. I will never understand why they released this movie 3 years before Season 2.

Basically, S1 > S2 > this movie > the movie prequel > S3
