I know the Scott Pilgrim discourse is very much a dead horse at this point, but it's still something I feel rather strongly about given the double standards of allowing this anime in particular on the DB. It was made by Japanese studios and staff, but was spearheaded and coordinated by Americans and geared primarily towards a Western market. And wasn’t that why Scott Pilgrim wasn’t allowed on the DB?

castlevania was genuinely one of the best “american anime” i’ve ever seen and nothing has come close

def deserves a spot in the mal
