Why did Saban's dub edit the show less than other hack dubs during its era?

The Digimon dub by Saban was considered to be influential due to be one of the rare instances that a hack dub actually kept most of the original source material in the 90s and 2000s as opposed to other hack dubs like Pokemon, Yugioh, Sailor Moon, and Cardcaptor Sakura. It kept its characters and setting to Japan and other foreign countries and it also kept Japanese and foreign culture like not calling rice balls doughnuts. It also kept some dark/mature themes like the concepts of death, divorce, bullying, totalitarianism, genocide, biblical references, and adoption issues that was surprising for a children's anime dub during its era. Overall, Digimon's dub was hailed by fans and critics to be the least edited hack dub ever in history, but one question still remains: why did Saban edited the show less than other hack dubs during its era and kept in more of Japanese/foreign culture and more mature subjects?

I hate Digimon English dub, the music changes alone is why I will never touch anything English dub related to Digimon besides maybe the Digimon Frontier OP. That one is the only version that has a better theme song than the Japanese. Would you know it, its because they ditch the stupid Digital Monster song that they lazily reused in the past three English dubs from everything from the opening, transformation, to the random scenes. Also cant stand the "hey digimon, champions of the digital world" song at all. Yes, music means a lot to set the tone of the entire work. No amount of "staying true to the spirit of the Japanese original with the dialogue and tone" means anything if your soundtrack replacement kills the entire mood.

Its just better to watch any other language dub just because they dont use the English soundtrack.

That's something only the people involved in the dub can answer. My guess is that they were actual Digimon fans and wanted the viewers to experience the same cultural and lore content they loved as much as they could rather than some localized trash made for 3 years old babies that changes a good portion of the anime.

Saban did make lots of changes to its English dub of Digimon Adventure 01. One change is the difference in how the characters are portrayed. Take Mimi, for instance. She is more materialistic and spoiled in the EN version. Izzy's less polite than his original JP version.
