Why this manga didn’t have anime adaptation yet?

Shojos in general get few anime adaptations, I once read it's because shonen sell more. I don't think it will get an adaptation considering it it came out 15 years ago. I was thinking this story would suit a drama adaptation and I just found out there is one ! There is a jdrama by the same name cat street 2008.

i'd love to see it but it's unlikely unfortunately, although anything can happen who knows!

i kind of agreed with the other poster about seeing this as a J-drama so it's good to know there actually is one, it's kind of funny and ironic there's a live action adaptation played by an actress and the story is about an actress, it must've been weird to play a meta role like that lol
