Honestly if you want to skip filler you shouldnt even bother starting. the episodes these days have so little content in them you'd be better off sticking to the manga, maybe occassionally watching specific episodes just to see certain scenes come to life.

@Triggerfish124 That makes no sense at all. Skipping filler does not correlate to not being able to handle the "little content" per episode that One Piece delivers. I'm sure most One Piece fans skip filler and I don't think the act of doing that derails their enjoyment.

I think the One Piece anime has always had a system of having like 15 minutes of "actually worth-watching content" per episode so that didn't just start happening in recent arcs.

i stopped watching the anime last December. Those last 4 episodes focused on the fight between Nico Robin and Black Maria. In that fight, we saw some flashbacks to Nico Robin's past, Black Maria trash talking Nico, and then Nico Robin essentially just using her regular old clutch move, albeit red.

I think it makes a lot of sense. You skip filler because you want to focus on the main story and get to it faster. But once you catch up to One Piece, its sheer torture waiting for one episode a week with barely any new content in it. Iirc the anime animates less than a chapter of content every episode, so if you follow the manga online you get slightly more content per week, and you don't get so many flashbacks.
