with mainline aot anime ending and how it's the biggest new gen anime cashcow wouldn't and adaptation be more likely

If aot had remained at wit, an adaptation of before the fall would have been more likely but I highly doubt mappa will put in the time and effort to adapt something that wasn't even written by isayama. Their schedule is busy enough and I don't think they're the type to adapt extra material like this anyways. So I don't see it happening any time soon. But I do hope we get an anime of this one day, of course it's not as good as the main story, but I'll take anything aot related now that we won't have any more episodes to wait for.

It's very unlikely to happen imo but if it somehow does, I'll be there no matter what.

Having just finished reading this, I actually enjoyed it tbh.
Will love if this gets adapted into an anime, although the chances are low. Kuklo was such an amazing character, He deserves his anime.

I would also enjoy seeing an anime adaption of this! I preferred reading the novel to the manga at times but I can’t deny that the story i excellent. The materials Iron Bamboo and Iceburst Stone are only touched upon briefly in the main series so finding out more about how they were first discovered, extracted and then refined to be used in the ODM that’s commonplace in the main series is genuinely interesting to me.

Learning how the Survey Corps discovered how to kill Titans after coming so close to giving up also adds an interesting spin on things considering what we now know thanks to the main series. And Kuklo is a great MC, not too hotheaded or pretentious. His tragic backstory is a bit edgy but I can look past that.
