If I remember correctly, Bisco falls into the lava and is killed and then is revived and is revealed to be a 'spawn of god' of sorts, awakening a new power before beating the antagonist of the last arc. It wasn't very coherent or thematically consistent, so if you think this sounds like it came out of nowhere it did.

This is what I can recall. I don't think there was a basis for a second season, either, besides implied future adventures.

I'm really afraid that they'll backpedal on a lot of the relationship between Bisco and Milo. Call it BL, call it friends, they were very....intimately close, and honestly their relationship (however you want to categorize it) was one of the only things I enjoyed about the show.

The world was interesting and eyecatching enough to draw attention, but none of the details were particularly special. The ending felt rushed and sudden, so really all I enjoyed was the surprisingly close relationship. I can forgive some retconning and reworking of the plot if need be for season 2 but I can't forgive erasing character development as easily.

And yes, I know there was always source material past season one but that doesn't change how it really felt like a rushed ending where we have to complete everything. That finality being reversed enough to add on more is what has me worried.

Their friendship went BL all of a sudden because of the animation.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.
