Hard to say how I feel about this one. The hand drawn stuff looks really good, but transiting to CG in the close up shots is a huge mistage.

CG insects/aliens have consistently been a disaster. It looks too different and inferior when paired with hand drawn.

The Jarring CG backgrounds having low framrates made me motion sick, i dont remember the last time anything has visually made me sick since seeing avatar in 3d over a decade ago.

Doesn't seem scary, and the movement lacks framing which is underwhelming with the attempt of realistic movement.

Must be hard. A shame it's flawed. Otherwise, the intent and unique artistic risk is cool.

I'm not sold, but I am interested in original anime, so I may look into this director's other works before I possibly try this one.
