As the title states. They are low key shitty af parents. So quick the sell their daughter for wealth. Not too different from other scenarios like; IrumA being sold to demons without a thought. Willingly putting sun into a hostile situation they know she will never be able to be happy in and having the audacity to scold her for not wanting to be used as property. Then actually stating it's for future generations lol. What a total useless sack of shit mother amd father. Idk I wouldn't blame wang ling for needing time to fully move beyond her and her families actions.

It used to be a common practice in a lot of Asian countries and is still in practice by some people.
Even in my country (India) parents marry off their children for the wealth aspects of it all so I'm not that surprised that they would do it in China too
