in case of emotional anime, I found others more emotional than this one, Assassination Classroom is my prime example... I was literally yawning while watching your lie in April, it took me 12 days to finish this... that's really too long for 24 episodes

For my part I just couldn’t handle it because I’m a professional musician on my own and this anime is way too realistic.
It really depends on whether you like the type of person Kaori is or not. For me she is perfection of being human as well as of being a girlfriend, but you probably can’t appreciate with me.
Also if you get spoilered or have too high expectations the entire tension is gone.

I feel like this series can be a big hit or miss depending on the person. I found MC's experience with overcoming his trauma was really moving. And I'm a musician myself so I really enjoyed the performance aspect. But ya, its far from perfect. Was my favorite sad anime as a noob but series like Clannad have taken that spot pretty easily
