I only can see Orient as a Magi really bad version. I know it's from the same mangaka, so I can't understand how someone can create such a good manga as Magi, and later the bullshit Orient is.

I mean, the animation just doesn't provide it justice. Naotora vs Shiro is supposed to be lit, and they actually slash at each other than just shooting beam from afar.

Show is less than mid, not sure what crack you guys are smoking saying good.
The art is bearable, but the story and characters might as well be trees.
Hell, even a pile of shit is better than whatever you want to call Orient Part 2

I was pretty underwhelmed throughout the 1st half, to tell the truth.
Still this 2nd season is slightly superior to the 1st, for what it's worth.

This show is very basic on all levels. Definitely think the manga is better but that’s also not saying much. I have about 4 more episodes until I’m down with the 2nd cour and thankfully the it’s a lot better. That being said a basic show doesn’t bother me as long as I’m enjoying it so I’m still watching it.

I think the issue most people are having is:
1: The characters aren’t THAT good. I think so far the only interesting characters have been the silver hair bad guy and second in command guy with the dragon tattoo on his eye. Also we really haven’t seen the main character do much yet.

2. The powers are very hit or miss but mainly miss. It’s just crystals and laser beams. The villains so far have the best powers.

3. Story is kind of boring. The kishin aren’t interesting and the story hasn’t been intriguing.
