Should I read the manga or watch the Anime for Monster?

I've been holding off starting Monster because I can't choose whether to read the manga or to watch the anime. Which one is the best way to enjoy it?

It really doesn't matter IMO I found them to be about the same level as experiences. ig manga would be less time consuming tho

Anime is faithful and good adaptation of manga, so definitely go with it. However, manga is fast paced compared to the anime, but you'll miss johan's voice and other stuffs.

If you look at the MAL ratings, the anime and manga seem to be around the same (given that manga readers tend to rate much more generously), so I would say choose the medium that you generally prefer.

I only watched the anime and it was amazing. I heard its a good adaptation, so I'd say anime. Cause the music and va performances are amazing.

both are same though but anime give's better experience than manga because of ost's nd some sound effects.. and johan voice suited him perfectly

Making a subitle comparrison with both:

Anime in relation to manga

-Way better imersion due to the use of sound, direction and art/colors. All of these factors suits it perfectly and makes a much more “realist” and engaging experience

Therefore

-Needless to say, the pacing is way slower than in manga, considering the adaptation to cover all manga chapters (170~) in 74 episodes of 24 minutes, some may find the lengh disturbing to watch even because the anime doesnt take “the easiest way” on its situations and changes the narrative situations to present new things to the story, changing the focus of the main plot.

Conclusion
-If you ask different people you May find diferent answers about witch is better, but have in mind that the adaptation is very loyal to the original work, só there isnt that much difference on the experience. If you dont mind with the pacing I personally recomend the anime 100%, the voices and sound are marvellous during the show, expecially in the tension scenes. But if you find the pacing a problem(considering it is slow), go for the manga

Manga for me but can't go wrong with either of them. I just feel that more people should read manga instead of watching anime.

Watch the anime. If you end up loving it, then read the manga.

The one you like more. Anime is a 1:1 adaptation and the manga is great. Choose freely.

Both is fine tbf, the anime is very faithful to the manga. I personally watched the anime first then read the manga. Both are phenomenal either way.

I would say read the manga to get through the strictly dialogue/story episodes and watch the anime when its getting exciting
