which one should i watch does the anime adapt this well? or should i stick with the manga

nether, i tried to find the novel instead, but couldn't find the english version,

i feel like this is more of a detective noir series so i feel like those are better in the original form.

i kinda forgot about this as well.
im still confused to which one is better

also im confused as hell about the manga because, this series apparently is supposed to have 11 volumes? but only 41 chapteres? that doesn't make sense.


now that i check it, it seems that each entire volume is only 3 chapters damn lol. those are some long chapters

I can see you still haven't given any form of this media a go and I highly suggest you do so!

I didn't read the manga yet but I can tell you the anime is pretty great!
I'm a big horror fan, which is why I find it sorrowful the horror industry is rather dull

That is not the case with Shiki though!
It doesn't just shove gore in your face, or jump-"scares" (while actually just surprising you.
Shiki presents horror as it should be written, a nihilistic, moral-horror story that makes you question everything, without really coming up with an answer.
You shouldn't let this series pass you by....
