Fuck so it’s gonna get rushed again like the first? smh well as long they don’t change stuff too much like the previous season but still more than 12 would’ve been so much better for the pacing….

Hopefully the second season will only cover volumens 4-6 and then we will have a 2 cour third season adapting 7-11.5, because if the next season it's not like that, this will be rushed af :(

Nah, I doubt that it would be overly rushed. They already announced S3. But then again Shield Hero S2 was rushed so you never know I guess

13 sounds significantly better than 12, gives them time to adapt some of the .5 chapters without eating into the LN episodes, although maybe Vol 6 could use the extra episodes?

Although .5 episodes are canon to the plot, making them into OVAs wouldn't be all that much of an issue in most cases.

Here's to hoping for proper pacing

Official update has been rolled out. The classroom of the Elite S2 will have 13 episodes this season, and airing will commence on 4th July

So 3 episodes for volume 4, 3 for volume 5, 3 for volume 6 and 3 for volume 7 leaving one extra episode for volume 4.5 to also get adapted too if they end up doing it but I'd rather it be given to volume 7 instead

Nah, it's gonna be rushed. Assuming season 3 is also gonna be 13 eps, it's gonna be a total of 26 episodes adapting 10 volumes worth of LN volumes including 7.5 and 11.5.

Do you think the season will be rushed? On one hand, the number of volumes they want to cover is high, especially taken into consideration there are "half-volumes", but on the other, I don't see a point in being hasty with adapting the light novel since it's really unlikely the autor will have finished the LN by the time the anime catches up. I guess we might barely get to year 3 when that happens. What do you think?

nope they're going until 7 for sure. And that's logical too. Volume 7 is the perfect ending for a season.

Yeah, that makes sense but IMO only 13 episodes is too little, I mean, we are talking about how the studio will have 3 episodes to adapt a single volume and I think that's too little (just look at the first 2 volumens in season 1), especially for vol. 5 and 7, and also I'd like to see the remaining 2 chapters of 4.5 animated, unless they are really going to skip the .5 volumes which is very posible at this point that at least 4.5 is getting cut and from just seeing the pv they realsed a few months ago there is no a sigle scene from either 7.5 and 11.5, plus IMO vol. 6 has the best cliffhanger of the entire 1st year

the pool chapter(majority of 4.5) was adapted, although they changed many things (replaced horikita with Keith). Only the introduction of Miyabi Nagumo is remaining, which can be done very easily. So I think 4 episode will be given to volume 7.
