I dare say that the voice acting is the most underrated aspect of the show. There was no one in the cast who was very well known except Anju's VA Hayami Saori, but especially Lena's VA surprised me a lot. It was her first main role and she nailed it. As I remember in episode 9, there was a moment where Lena was crying in front of a bridge as that was really difficult to pull off. Theo's rant was also a brilliant example of my point. Also in episode 22, there was scene where shin was screaming because of the pain which most probably was the hardest piece of voice acting in the whole show.

What do you guys think?

Yeah agreed. All the voice acting was excellent. Shins VA in particular was great at portraying all of Shins complex emotions

Yup. Shin and Raiden voices really stand out to me. It’s also cool knowing Shins VA has done quite a lot of rap recently in Paripi Koumei as Kabetajin

the emotions we felt in this anime were accompanied by great music and they less-known op voice acting.

Having watched both the sub and English dub my only issue with the voice acting is with who they got to replace Billy Kametz as Shin. Stephen Fu does a great job as Naofumi in Shield Hero but Aleks Le is so jarring different and sounds very similar to Raiden’s English actor.

Raiden's VA is someone who always sounds so effortlessly on point when he gets the chance to. I love him. He did great as Raiden (and was great as Orange's Kakeru and Horimiya's Toru too. Always sounds very caring.)

Uemura's batshit screaming made me need him cast as some crazy villain. Chills all over. He's come far from his first big lead in Bungo Stray Dogs's first season.
