How do you feel about people who can watch nearly everything?

I am absolutely jealous of people that aren't swayed by the janky-ness of an art-style. I definitely believe people when they tell me that an anime tells a really good story but if the characters look like something out of "Clannad" aka ... insects, I can't handle it. No matter how much I try and force myself to sit through it, I just can't get used to it and "suspend my disbelief" or whatever. I wish I could actually sit down and enjoy the old anime classics but they look so ridiculous to me that I can't take them seriously, no matter how beautiful the rest of the presentation may be.
