This anime is popular, highly praised and was screened at a handful of film festivals in the US. It is licensed in Germany and China...so why has this never seen so much as a streaming rights license? The creator, Yuki Midorikawa, has a title out that is licensed so it can't be that she is opposed to it. The studio, Brain's Base, has multiple titles that are licensed, so it can't be pushback from them. Aniplex and NAS worked on the domestic distribution of it and they are big players. So why? To be more exact, has anybody heard any rumors or confirmed explanation why this anime might be the only popular and highly rated anime on MAL to not be licensed? Only theory I have is that the copy required to actually make it usable for distribution was lost/destroyed.
