| Alicization was surprisingly good. The new characters were damn great, they're not just some random badly written characters that fell in love with Kirito in the previous seasons, they got some developments and depth. Sadly, Underworld was really really underwhelming, the worst season from SAO imo. |
| definitely agree, the first couple seasons had their highs and lows but this was peak SAO for me. Nothing beats two best bros storming a castle full of immortal knights to rescue a long lost bestie. Still doesn't change the fact that WoU was god awful. I have no idea how even the supposedly superior source material manages to convince someone the villains weren't abysmal. They could've done SO much more with the Administrator. |
