| Its adapting the last part/chapter of the novel. I think we can consider it canon because manga is based on the novel. |

| I didn't even know about this since I just finished Vagabond last month so thanks for bringing this up I guess. After reading it I do see a lot of closure in this chapter. If this is the end of Musashi's journey, then I am more than satisfied. I'm really happy with this ending. I might read more of his other mangas. |

| beautiful ending Inoues epilogue in the end: he had to show the shadows of Musashi to appreciate his progress to the light. the killings weren't simply coincidental , but a journey with a destination maybe it was the killings that placed a burden on the writer's soul; I think we have to accept Vagabond won't get a serialized "manga ending" , but this epilogue here is the true ending |
