What's the difference between the film and the anime?

Okay, probably you all heard this question, but I didn't find anything online. The film is a sequel to anime or just a remake in a film version?

@Monarch9 I just started watching im just going by release order, I'm not watching the specials though I'll m watching anime with 11 episodes the movie and the sequel with six episodes gonna binge it all tomorrow

My problem with anime is I'm very whimsical if I get interesting in a different show I lose all motivation to continue what I was watching and it could take months or even years id recently started Sonny boy after putting off for 3 years after finishing the episode I was recommended frieren now I've finished and have no interest in Sonny boy at all even if I force myself, (back on topic, I'm sorry) I started this anime back in 2019 the same thing kept happening something else would catch my eye or I would forget and loose interest so I'm gonna try and Binge this on over the next few days
