Is Kabaddi really popular in Japan as a sport?

Im an Indian, and Kabaddi is originated here, and I was just curious to know if Kabaddi is popular as a sport in Japan too, coz I have high hopes after watching this anime, if your from Japan, plz consider replying. Thank you.

I don't know about Japan but it's popular in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran etc. If they made an anime and manga about kabaddi so i think they know about this sport well and may be little bit popular

I think only a small minority of Japan have idea of Kabaddi.If kabaddi was really popular in Japan it wouldn't be underrated.

Actually football, badminton and baseball are famous there. If Kabaddi was really famous, they would have a professional League just like J1 League for football

I don't know how popular kabbadi is in Japan...but fact is they actually reached the quarter finals in the very first kabbadi world cup back in 2004 and played semi finals in 2007 so they have an international team that regularly play international tournament. They have their representation in world cups.

Every country in the world has some sort of international team.
