Yeah you don't have to start with the original, the new first season is a readaptation of that original series. Also by drama they really do mean like very interpersonal and interconnected drama that spans the whole show, although the first season and a half is a bit on the slower and slice of life side. Edit~ I've always had a love hate relationship with romance anime and I can't stand high school romance stories, I just find them stupid honestly unless the romance isn't the driving force of the anime. Is the romance in this anime also not just your typical high school romance story? As you can see I basically have no knowledge of this series x) As much as I love YLIA, this series is a lot better. It's not like what you think it is, since it the hard-hitting stuff does have depth to it. |
