Shin High School DxD Volume 3 Discussion
| I'd say it's a pretty good volume overall. It was quite action-heavy we had; - Cao Cao destroy Sonneillon - Tobio destroy Gressil - Issei defeat the god Erebus - And lastly we had Issei take on another god, Tartarus. Defeating him with the help of Ryuuteimaru to achieve a new power-up "AxA". For next volume, seems the team will head to England where we'll get to meet one of the new Longinus users Meredith Ordinton a member of the British Royal Family who wields Alphecca Tyrant (the Holy Nail). Ishibumi mentioned there would be some focus on Le Fay and a little on Irina and that this volume would end the battle with the Alliance of Hell. Vali, Sairaorg and Crom Cruach will also be making appearances in the volume and it was hinted that Issei may be promoted to an Ultimate-class devil. Next volume should be exciting, can't wait to see the fights against Hades and Angra Mainyu. |

| After a great first volume and a good second one, this one didn't really interest me that much for nearly the entire thing until the end which was hinting the Hell Disaster and potential promotions for everyone in Issei and Rias' peerages given their accomplishments, especially for Issei to Ultimate Class Devil potentially. Pretty boring other than that. |
| First re-read of Shin volume 3. We head to Kyoto in similar fashion to Volume 9 for the school trip. Whilst the group prepares for the Oppai Dragon show in Urakyoto, they are attacked by the artificial devils along with two Primordial gods. Everyone manages to defeat the artificial devils, and Ise manages to merge with Ryuuteimaru like a Gundam ship to defeat Erebus and Tartarus. AxA has the power to destroy planets, I wonder what its power would look like with true dragon deification... Everyone is scheduled for another promotion. Good volume. |
