The Saga of Tanya the Evil
| Honestly the manga, light novel, and anime give you a completely different impression of the series. The manga adds more humor to the series. It's more expressive because the manga adds line to background characters or exaggerates the reactions of side characters. Whereas the anime shows Tanya as an evil psychopath/antagonist. Meanwhile i feel like the light novel is much more logical and generally better written. The manga is so slow in its adaptation because it covers nearly everything from the light novel. I wouldn't say it had less or more action and politics but just enough to satisfy the source material. Although some of the scenes did turn out a little different from my imagination when i was reading it. I think it's just a subjective thing though. I say if you want to fully enjoy Youjo Senki you read both. |
