Hey there my dude, not entirely sure if you legitimately wanted a reply or were just pointing things out about the show, but either way, I have answers!
“…when prince lies on the ground, he arches his back and lets his booty pop out. What the fuck is up with that?” That’s not erotic in the slightest, judging by all the early episodes I see him exhausted from running he’s lying flat face down or up. Concerning what you’re talking about tho, there’s a natural curvature to the lower back between the pelvis and rib cage so anyone lying face down is going to have their butt perking up a bit due to the muscles and fat present there along with the curved spine. I would instead find it odd and unnatural if they had his body flat as a board.
However you are right when saying there are gay undertones present in the anime but they aren’t anywhere as prevalent as with “Prince of Stride” another running show which I loved. That show had 2 of the MC’s strongly hinted to being gay even tho when in the source material, they were certainly straight. So if that’s something of concern for you, then don’t worry, none of the characters in the show are actually gay. The small added things here ‘n there are an attempt to capture more female audience members and that’s really it I feel. For me tho, I love the main aspects to these two shows too much for me to really care about gay characters or subtleties as long as the creators aren’t trying to force their view points on me thru straight shaming.
“WTF is up with that? Why is his ass so plump? Why focus it from bottom to up?” lol, his butt is plump cas he’s an elite runner with a larger body type, he’s anatomically and physiologically perfectly fine. The focus was panning up starting at his feet and moving up to his head, and as he’s running, it’s completely appropriate as it’s trying to portray a superior runner in perfect form thru the eyes of the MC as he’s being overtaken. The “V” shape between this waist and lower butt is indeed un-necessary to have however so I agree that the shorts could be drawn more normally. They could have focused less on this detail and put that $ into something else but like I mentioned before, I’m sure they’re trying to capture more female audience members, so I understand them adding the detail for that excuse, but I would also prefer it to just not be present at all as it’s un-needed for the show in general.
I hope I explained things decently enough. |
