erza l at first i was ok with her but everywhere i go i see erza is the best shes so much better then useless lucy i mean shes not useless i dont get whats so great about her she has no character outside of being strong she only seems to be liked because shes a action girl whats so wrong with females who dont join in fights it does not make them useless

this is only my opinion

Well I don't think lucy is useless she has played her part several times in the show.

1. During the battle of fairy arc she was the one who moved everyone with her speech when the guild members started fighting each other.
2. During the tartaros arc everyone was caught up in the alegria spell, without her summoning the celestial king who ultimately broke it there was not even a millionth chance of survival for fairy tail.
3. Spoiler alert!
Without her natsu would've ended up dead by the end of the series.

I know its a late anwser, but Erza just kinda became fan favourite character.
Maby she isnt as great as some people think, maby she isnt the main, but she is important member of FT guild.
I dont hate other girls from the series and i think all of them are strong
and awesome (My second favourite is Juvia btw) i just enjoyed watching Erza's backstory part, i like her as a warrior woman, but also as good friend of others from FT and beutiful woman that can be funny sometimes. Im aware that there may be people in fandom that (i realy dk why) hate on Lucy, but i think Lucy is cute, and i respect that she is a main character telling the whole story and admire that she never gives up even if the situation is dangerous<3
