Shows Like Code Geass

What other shows are there whose action plays out like Code Geass's? I mostly mean how conflict is resolved through pre-planned strategy and over-the-top mental gymnastics. The obvious one everyone brings up is Death Note; I would also bring up No Game no Life and pretty much all the works of Nobuyuki Fukumoto. Overall, not a whole lot. Does anyone else know of shows, namely older or obscure ones that I and others wouldn't be familiar with, that resemble these shows?

Hard to say bro... Caz it's best. But u can search for top 10 badass hero anime on Google u'll get some similar anime.. but not great as this.

Another anime which is comparable with code geass is Legends of the Galactic Heroes. I haven’t watch it yet, but I knew from some comments that LotGH is wayyy better than code geass

I’d say Guilty Crown is only similar to code geass in a few conceptual elements
•High School Boy aquires supernatural powers; referred to as “The power of the king” from a mysterious waif.
• Show takes place in the near future in an occupied Japan
• Boy joins domestic terrorism organization that has the goal of liberating said occupied Japan
Though Guilty Crown still diverges noticeably from Code Geass. Mainly in themeing characters and the endings of the respective shows. Also both have insane amounts of Narm.
