Anime like Baki the Grappler

Remember when Baki gets pounded by his dad so hard that he is in the ground, unconscious and just unable to do anything, everyone is around and nobody can do a thing? (Except for when his mom comes out and trys to pull something, BUT, she was unable to do anything anyway>>)
An anime like that would be awesome...
I just don't want to find anymore anime where the Male protagonist has to get help constantly...

I just want to find a strong willed MC, no more help from other buddies, unless with training and stuff. (I'm sick of Pathetic Beta Males.)

I don't know how well the anime handled it, but the Shirugui manga was fantastic in that regard.
And of course there's the old Berserk show and the movies.

Sadly there isn't really any other animes like Baki the grappler.
But you could try...
