| I havnt seen the anime but I have never heard anything about it being a bad adaption, so I’m assuming it ends the same way. |

| I've both read the manga and seen the anime. They adaption is pretty much 1:1 copy of the story. The ending is the same as well. Monster is such a good story though that experiencing it multiple times is very enjoyable. |
