which is more tolerable between physical pain and emotional pain?

I'd say emotional pain is more tolerable, because you can build strength from it and be prepared for when it happens again. But getting stabbed will always open a hole in your body.

short term emotional pain (if its truly short term in this context, it will not leave long term damage), over short term physical pain (if it is extreme, acute injury).

long term physical pain, over long term emotional pain. (at least with chronic physical pain, painkillers have a precise effect)

well of course physical pain is worse. all the emotional pain i've been through I've already moved on from.
