| It is not primarily an action/ battle anime, but it does have action here, even some battles there, and of the various girls and boys and women, it is the girls and women who are the strong/ tough ones. And it is an overall good anime : Dennou Coil Also, some Miyazaki films with action and a boy, typically the girl is the strong(-er) one: Laputa/ Castle in the Sky, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Howl's Moving Castle, Mononoke Hime, Spirited Away. ----------------- Ben-To is an actual action/ battle anime, but it isn't really good besides some characters being nice(-ly crafted) and the brawls (ep 01-06) being very enjoyable. The soundtrack is most surprising, in a good way, so much that it alone imo. warrants watching at at least some of the anime/ the good parts. I recommend to watch only episodes 1-6, and to then drop it because from there on it will only develop/ follow the bullshit things present from episode 1 on, and completely drop the good things (the action bits, and also some nice, calm moments). And yeah, both the "Ice Queen" and "The Beauty from the Lake" are the strong(-er) ones, while male main is strong/ develops fast, but is starting from being a beginner and nowhere near their level. disclaimer - it got so annoying I could not get myself to watch the last two episodes. really had enough. EDIT: hehehe, this was written without being aware of Kurubala's post. So now two answers, 2x Ben-To already. :D |
