I've been obsessing over the contest since 2006.
Since I'm Ukrainian, my dream has come true this year: I was able to be present at the Grand Final of my favourite music event.
Now I'm dreaming of going to Lisbon for the next year, but it's much more troublesome financially. x)
It'd be nice to say hi to the fellow fans! What do you think of this year's contest? Are you looking forward to Eurovision 2018? What are your fav countries in the contest?

Sadly, must mainly agree. And the 50/50 system doesn't really help.

I love Eurovision! I've been watching it since I was a little kid. I support Belarus since it's where my family is from :> I can't wait for 2018; this year's Eurovision had some really good songs ^^

no one watches eurovision anymore because everyone watches it to see if their country will screw up :D

tho i have to agree that its all politics. idk why europe treats us like trash when my country presents some good music.

I do like some of the songs. There have been some brilliant entries over the past few years ( Heroes by Mans Zelmerlow anyone?).

The acts performing at the beginning can be fun to watch, whether it's good or bad. It's only when the voting starts that the fun stops. The voting is very obviously fixed and simply about politics. But that's no different than most song contests or talent shows. Look at all the shit acts that have won The X factor or Britain's Got Talent for example. It's all fixed from the start.

I liked it better when I was younger and before the 50/50. First real Eurovision memory was watching Lordi win with "Hard rock hallelujah".

Now it's just the most glittery drinking game I can think of. Didn't like the winner's speech this year, as he took a huge dump on what everyone knows has stronger ties to RuPaul's Dragrace than American Idol. Eurovision is about glitter, glamour and having a good time. Not big politics and deep lyrics.
Geoblocking and Adobe Flash has a lot in common, they're outdated, buggy and should die in a dark hole
