DR2 would be mystery for obvious reasons.

Mother 3 would probably be supernatural & adventure. A drama tag might fit as well, seeing as it does have some darker themes in it.

It would have to be a sports anime since my fave video game is Madden football, but since they use real athletes in that game, it would never be made into an anime.
Still, the Cowboy cheerleaders would make really cute and sexy anime characters though.

Fantasy, because it's called Final Fantasy XII. Honestly can't fall into any other genre as it's main. Sci-Fi too, since FF has been going that route a lot with it's later installments. Also, action.... because FF.

If Embodiment of Scarlet Devil was turned into an anime, it would probably be a fantasy action anime.
Rabi-Ribi would be a fantasy, action, yuri anime, with some ecchi stuff.
And Ketsui would just be action and military stuff.

My favorite video game as of a few weeks ago is Persona 5, and it already has an OVA, so according to MAL: Action, Supernatural, Fantasy, and... Seinen, apparently.

Runners up:

The World Ends With You

Action - Beating the snot out of Reapers and Noise using psychic powers
Supernatural - Because the UG is a supernatural plane
Thriller, maybe?
Psychological - Because of all of the mental torment and stress the Players (particularly Neku) undergo throughout the Reapers' Game.
Game - Neku becomes an unwilling participant in the Reapers' Game. I'd say that's textbook Game genre.

Metroid Prime

Sci-Fi - Because space
Space - Because space
Action - Fighting off Space Pirates and mutant wildlife
Adventure - Exploring the ruins of a fallen civilization, along with the Space Pirates' facilities and the surrounding wilderness
Mystery - Piecing together what the heck happened on Talon IV and why the Chozo are all dead

If only they could make an anime adaptation of Ayakashi The Ghost Guild... it might have been similar to Pokemon but it's about capturing ghosts to fight for you lol.

If WoW ever became an anime, I beg to God the writer is not Reki Kawahara (or someone else of his caliber), there are enough Kirito wannabes in WoW as it is...
