Does anyone here have download sites they'd recommend? Or streaming.

If you don't, or downloading is not part of your ethic, much appreciated nonetheless.

Rock and Metal, mostly.

Well, I have an anime playlist with rock/metal themes (openings / endings + 1 rock themed soundtrack)

In case you're interested in the playlist:
Playlist

* I think some anime openings are full version and have more rock than the 1:30 opening

Thank you. Playlists are always a great opportunity for more new music. Link taken :)

I LOVE VK. X Japan, Buck-Tick, Luna Sea, exist-trace (all-female), Dead End (proto-VK), etc. I welcome VK as well as all-female JP Power Metal.

These are the methods I use, I dowload all my music since I don't like to listen to stuff online, I prefer to have everything on my computer:

Nihon Ongaku has a lot of new releases and they get stuff quickly, most of releases will be uploaded 1-2 days after the release date (though in some cases it may time up to a month). It may be hard to search for older stuff though. They have mostly VK, but they also upload popular non-VK bands. They also have twitter.

Evil en Lucifer is great to search for old school VK releases. Some of their links are no longer active but it's still very helpful and you can find a lot of nice, old school stuff.

Blogspot in general has a lot of jrock download links. I recommend you google "<band name> blogspot rar" and there are high chances you'll find what you're looking for. For example if you google "Buck Tick blogspot rar" you'll get this: click.

If I can't find any dowload links, I use the the search tool on vk (I think you need to have a vk account to be able to use the search tool but you can create it quickly) + Video DownloadHelper add-on (available for Mozilla and Chrome). Search for a song, then you have to play it and it will appear as download option. Like this:

There is also a lot of HD music videos on vk, some of them are not available on YT.

This is great great advice. Thank you very much. I think nothing can stop me now. :D

Do you happen to like exist-trace as well? Are there any bands you'd recommend? It's not common for me to find a VK fan. And you seem like a specialist.

Once more, thank you. Greetings from Portugal.

Religion is a parasite, and the only way to exterminate it is to accept facts that can be proven by regular every day activities.

Thank you for the tip. This (rar or zip) looks more efficient than searching for the word download.

I would love to, and one day I hope to. But right now, I have no financial means of doing so. Hell, I don't even know where I'm gonna live in half-an-year, my computer is a 10-year old wreck, and I don't even own the Internet connection I'm using. So, that's not possible.
