[SPOILERS] Did the end scene with the Magic Council piss you off

The magic council wanted to do things the roundabout way. I understand that there are proper procedures to go through and everyone wanted to cover their own ass. Typical Bureaucrats, fair enough.

BUT! The ending scene where they were giving Makarov the angry / disappointed look, that was unacceptable.

He had just saved their asses and saved the world. If we had to wait through the council's bureaucratic bullshit everybody would've been dead. They should be thanking fairy tail and give them rewards, show some appreciation, or at the very least, apologise. Instead they tried to give makarov a stinking look while talking down to him. That wasn't funny, it was just a pathetic behavior.

What right did they have to give him that attitude.

I regret I watched this after seson 2, now I want to rewatch a certain episode, btw, let's not forget that the arrow was give to the council to be used again exactly this enemy so Makarov needed to steal it as they didn't wish to give it....
