I like the anime but it seems it's not up to par of contemporary anime seems like the classic animes like when one piece first came out.

Simple music that uses easily repeatable tunes to make a score, instead of having a full original song. The same goes with the "pow" sound effects during story transitions. The opening narration as as well seems something like only the old animes do. The art is slightly fuzzy like it was made for an aspect ratio of 4:3. Instead of 16:9 for HDTVs. It's good I do realize a lot of current animes cut corners even though their art seems crisper.

I'm not sure what else but it all comes together making it feel like an anime that came out 15 years ago. Perhaps the studio is just old fashioned and one of the cheapest? I wonder..

The animation for this show is better than one piece & DB super animation combined tbh, soundtrack wise it's a meh, but I guess these ecchi anime are more about the visuals.

The animation is pretty solid. I have no idea what you're on about.

Tfw when people said Keijo animation looks bad and old when it actually one of the recent anime with pretty solid artstyle and animation this year.

And the transition between event sound fx was also used in Konosuba iirc and doesn't necessarily feels old. If anything, sound is one aspect that adds to Keijo surrealism, hence make it good, it was supposed to be a meat clashed against another meat and yet they use the sound effect of a gun or explosion, heck theyneven use a slicing sound fx at the first episode iirc.

This seems downright impossible, considering that a modern anime using 15 year old techniques can't score over a 7 on MAL.
Be thankful for the wisdom granted to you.

I wouldnt say 15 years old, but the animation is pretty regular. The fighting scenes are not well laid out, it feels like the background is constantly changing when it shouldnt.
At least the topic is out of the norm.
But to me the worst problem is that they break characters too much. The drawings are not consistent at all. Specially the faces are ot of proportion and deformed way too often.

Characters don't have carisma either.

Maybe that's it, something just felt off with animation quality and the music it really feels like something that is old fashioned. I looked at the studio who created it and noticed most, if not all, feel very old fashioned.

None of the characters feel "sexy" too. They're attractive but as someone else mentioned konosuba, the characters on konosuba feel much more sexier than the characters in keijo, and I believe they wear more clothes in konosuba. So it's not the issue of nude scenes.

Pretty much to some extent . The animation imo is solid . But the character designs and faces look off sometimes . Aoba is the most consistent looking though ....

After watching Yuri on ice, Euphonium, Flip flappers and Drifters, this animation is definitely subpar...

And different is right,, I never popped a boner watching this. Tits and asses are flying all over the place, but It's not sexy nor erotic at all. It's feels cheap.

Though I hate Keijo very much,I'm afraid I need to disagree you.

The colour of visuals and animation is fine actually in Keijo,at least it's unlike Qualidea Code, which the animation is really lazily drawn, but the problem of Keijo is actually the retarded storyline and keeping excusing in order to do more fanservice by using Keijo.

I would say the story of Keijo could be worse than animes 15 years ago in other words, but for animation,in my opinion,is just distributing.

Life is empty without anime
