| Might seem as a stupid question, but is s1 absolute necessary to watch this? I've seen a bit of praise for s2, but s1 is rarely ever brought up & never positively. I'm interested in watching this, as my regional animax is going to air the s2, but I'm not sure if its worth going through season 1. So can I skip s1? |

It is necessary if you want to understand what's going on since there are huge callbacks to the prior series. Also why would you NOT watch the originial and skip straight to its prequel? You should also see the ova for the original and the movie too. |
