I found the first season quite frustrating, only the last episode was exciting. So I thought maybe the second season is better but all I see is negative comments and I don't remember liking the first episode which I apparently watched a long time ago.

Should I watch this?

Root A was supposed to be an alternative version of the second half of the TG manga, where Kaneki joins the bad guys insteadt. However, Root A is actually a weird mish mash between canon scenes from the manga (usually without any context) and some anime original scenes. The story is a complete mess and doesn't go anywhere. In my opnion it's MUCH worse than season 1.
