Yeah it appears it's the OVA, however it can also be said that these are the first two episodes, because they follow the first few chapters of the manga.

Yeah, I've also heard the OVA is supposedly 1st 2 episodes of upcoming series (which is totally fine with me). But I can't watch it without Eng subs.... (I should have taken more foreign language classes) :-(

The OVA is really good! I didn't know what to expect, but it definitely managed to make me interested in this story.
I really liked the main character, Toyohisa Shimazu, and the visuals. Also, the comedy moments were good.

I'm looking forward to the TV series.

Yes, the ova is a recap of the two first episodes, although their duration is a 40minutes.
