| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Don't know how unique it was at the time of creation, but the character design stands out quite a bit from the norm of today. Also it all sounds old, in a good, nostalgic way. Having seen the Disney movie, I feel like I'm re-living the movie at a more relaxed, less stressful pace. I love the OST in the first episode too. This rain scene was pleasant to the ears and makes me happy somehow.   |

| I can't believe there aren't more people talking about this anime. I'm lucky to know what it is from seeing the OP before now, but I couldn't have imagined it would be this good! Whether they've made up new stuff for an entirely different story or are sticking to the 1939 film and original books, I'm absolutely going to see it through to the end. |
