Hoping someone could give me an Anime suggestions that satisfies many of my requirements =).?

First of I would like to thank you guys who are responding as I know (and probably you will to) I'm going to ask a bit. I want

MC - "Preferably a He" (sorry I don't like female mc's =| ) Badass who tries to hide his baddasery but ends up having to reveal it in front of a lot of people (preferably rivals). He really should't be stupid but for the sake of comedic relief I'll take it.

His enemy - Ends up having feelings towards him *can be mutual or be enemy liking mc||||| preferable mutual*
Note: If his/her rival or some person who always though mc was an idiot but after realizes his true power, starts to develop feelings towards him would also be acceptable =)

Optional - Rarely gets beat up - This one is a toughie so I'm fine if it doesn't get satisfied

LAY OFF THE ECCHI - Please just no, however if it will satisfy the above categories then I will bear with it.*

Optional - A long anime I dislike short 25 to 37.5 episodes *50 is alright*
NOTE: Once again optional.

Optional - He could be a strategist badass or a fighting badass. Ideally I want both ^.^ but if I needed to choose fighting badass.

Optional - Technically by badass I mean he needs to be good in combat, but if he is a badass strategist and makes the best plans then sure I would like to watch it.

Thank you for answering and please if it won't bother you to much, if your recommendation doesn't fit any of these categories kindly specify which one it fails to specify.

Animes I watched

Steins;Gate
The romance system here was great! It doesn't need to be an action anime as long as its a thinking anime.

Hataraku Maou-Sama (Devil is a part timer)
I enjoyed this one a lot *like a whooole bunch top 10* and would like to see if Emilia and Maou get together. I personally would hate it if it ended up like Chiho & Maou =P.

Maoyuu Yuusha
Again I enjoyed the fluff but too little action

SAO
Only first half of season was amazing, second half got boring and weird as hell.

Log Horizon
Been a while since I watched it, but I'm looking for the enemy to start liking the mc.

Naruto
Reason I'm bringing this up is because if the relationship is like SakuraxNaruto I wouldn't mind (in fact I would like) watching it.

Death Note

Code Geass

Rurouni Kenshin
This is ranked 2 on my top 5 list

Again if the romance is like blue exorcist, where the fangirls who liked him from the start develop more feelings for him towards the end, then I wouldn't like to see it as I want rival/enemy developing feelings.

Side note: I really want the rival/enemy to fall in love with the mc =).

fate stay night unlimited blade works (its the sequel to fate zero, to be honest fate zero is better and more mature, but its not what you prob are looking forward for) (mc gets stronger throughout the series, epic fights. rly epic animation) (mc is not shown in the first ep, maybe at the end, 1st ep is about the female lead)

Noragami is a good anime if you like the protagonist to be male. He could be the badass you're looking for, but most of the time he's just fooling around. Don't worry about the amount of comedy though, I can assure you that it can get quite serious from time to time. It doesn't have a main villain though...

Zetsuen no Tempest is another one you might enjoy: it has two males as protagonists and a girl too. It may be a bit ecchi (just a bit, I promise), but the story makes up for it. If you like mysteries, you'll certainly like this too.

My last recommendation is Zankyou no Terror. This show has also two males as protagonists, joined by a female one. This show is all about solving mysteries and has a psychological theme. Whether the show has a villain or not is up to you, since I can't tell you anything about it without spoiling too much. Great thing about this show is fact that it isn't ecchi at all, which happens to be what you're looking for.

All of these shows are at most 12 episodes long.

Ok first of THANKS GUYS for the replies!

I think I forgot to mention a couple of things, character development is fine =)

Im watching Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei, MC is op as hell but the incest is creepy.

I watched HxH and personally loved it.

I watched "A certain magical index" with Touma and didn't like the anime very much. *Accel is to op for me*

Also if its one sided enemy relationship then that could possibly be even better like how Emilia considers Maou a complete enemy while Maou meh.

inuyasha (romance with fellow protagonist&antagonist, protagonist male, suitable length)
ranma 1/2 (Protagonist male... sort of... long term romance with female protagonist, suitable length.)
city hunter (Protagonist male, romance with fellow protagonist, suitable length (don't forget angel heart at the end of it))
rekka no honoo (42 ep, male protag, romance with fellow protag)

All are fighting anime in some sense. (city hunter uses guns)

City hunter/ranma each have a super-strong pervert fond of undergarments

I put more emphesis on episode count.

There are plenty, is that the primary trait you were looking for? =p
Lets take devil is a part timer though, I'd consider her more as a secondary female protagonist rather then a real enemy. With real enemies generally they're spending so much time trying to kill each other that there's no real romance.

Well, lets go with...
phantom requem for the phantom (Male+female protag, but an enemy likes him too)
Blood+ (supporting male protag is liked by the enemy)
When seagulls cry (intellectual battle, so there can be romance between them. Probably about the closest to what you're looking for, and if you count the alternate setting, when they cry, I guess it's 50+, but... not really since they're kinda distinct...)
Jin-Rou (Just watch it)
Zettai Karen Children (the main antagonist likes them)
Battle Programmer Shirase (an antagonist likes him)
Sci-fi Harry (romance between psychics)
World Destruction: Sekai Bokumetsu no Rokunin (saying would spoil the ending)
Denpa-teki na Kanojo (main antagonist loves him)
...and I could go on...

Like I say, plenty. You can have just about any sort of preference and there'll be hundreds or even thousands that you'd like, but every filter you add, every time you say you only like blond protagonists, or that the series needs to be such-and-such episodes long, or that the art style needs to be new with vibrant colors, or that it needs to be full of special effects... Every filter you add narrows your pool. One of the above I think is a movie, and another I think has only 2 eps. Moreover, we never know what we really want. We can say romance between protag and antag, but then get handed one where they're only very abstractly in love, or only abstractly enemies. *shrugs* That's why it's often better to just ask for some like... *list of names of ones you like*, and see what pops up. =)

True in devil is a part-timer Emilia isn't the enemy but she considers maou as the enemy, and that is what I was looking for =P.

I am watching Kaze no Stigma *Watched 4 episodes so far* and I am realy really really enjoying it. Kazuma is a badass who isn't stupid, he makes the jokes and isn't at the but end of them.

Ayano considered Kazuma as her enemy and later on starts liking him *that is what my projection of it*. My only problem is she starts liking him to early, but hey we can't have it all.

Since you said so I will check out Jin Rou next =P.

But I would like to give my sincere thanks to all who have replied I will definitely give each anime a try and comment on what I though about it =).

Yeah, it's not quite what you're looking for, but if I say anything it'll ruin it. Pretty sure it's a movie though, so it's not really a huge time sink. You'll probably know pretty soon in if you're gonna like it or not.
