Pretty random episode. That Indian looking alien girl sure was pretty though, glad she found more of her people. :)

One thing I noticed that was a bit odd:

In episode 7, we get a glimpse at Kanatas room when the phone is ringing and can see a western style bed and a poster on a wall behind the bed.

Now in episode 17 he is sleeping on a futon in a different room. The wall with poster got replaced by a wall with these sliding doors and the window is missing.

After taking another look at episodes 7 (~2 minute mark) and 8 (~12 minute mark), I noticed that the room looked a bit different in episode 8 aswell.

Did he sleep in another room? Or did they forget what his room was supposed to look like?

I'm glad to see Kanata smiling at the end. I guess he missed his dad, and finally, he seems to be happy to see his dad again.
