Hey guys, I'm almost finishing my current anime (Baccano!) and I was wondering if I should watch Fullmetal Alchemist, and if so, whether i should watch the original one or Brotherhood. Thanks!

Either is fine. Brotherhood is better, but both are great. You can watch the first and then second. If you are buying only one of them, then brotherhood.

Watch both. If you're only going to watch one though, then watch Brotherhood, along with episode 9 of the original. This is because one of the side characters' backstory is only shown in the original and skipped in Brotherhood.

You should watch both, Brotherhood doesn't go into as much detail about earlier things because the creators probably intended for you to watch both.

I actually preferred the story of the original Full Metal Alchemist overall. but I preferred the ending of Brother hood.

I've only watched the original so far, but I can say it was excellent. But I've heard wonderful things about brotherhood too. You can't go wrong with either I'd say.

I am reading full metal alchemist right now and I have heard it is the same as brotherhood. If the manta was the original source, then I do suggest watching brotherhood first and then watch 2003 since it is kind of a "Alternate Universe".

You should watch both.
Brotherhood follows the manga, so it is canon.
THe first show does not after some point, but it still pretty well made.

But its still disgusting from my point of view, and from the word's point of view, therefore its disgusting.

Wise words.

I love both. For me FMA Brotherhood is a little bit better.
But the movie of FMA is great! (Conqueror of Shamballa)

Watch both, but Brotherhood is definitely better.

A lot of people recommend the original first, but IMO that's silly. I watched Brotherhood first and still loved the original as well. Watch Brotherhood first so that way you can experience all of the plot twists and characters in the clearly superior series maximizing your viewing experience.

Watch both in either order. They both have their own quirks; I personally like Brotherhood more because it follows the manga closely, but the original has its' own thing.

Watch the 2003 one first, then watch Bro-hood after.
