This is from the first episode, when he replaces some old fool in a chess game.

Not to say that I'm an expert in chess, but it looks like black is in an incredibly good position.
It's black's move; Lelouch is black. EZ game?
Any thoughts?

Post #43 shows that it's a mate in 4 for black, as long as they have the sense to start by moving their king.

What makes the game slightly interesting is that if black had failed to move their king, white would have had a discovered attack on the black king and been able to claw their way back into the game.

Hmm, I didn't notice there was a way to delay checkmate by one move. Looks people've long since noticed how easy the game was lol.
