Time to put a little life into this club.

What I need from the members is to come up with a list from Fall 2014 to the Summer 2015 of the sports animes. If we have enough, I'd like to create a championship bracket, similar to the NHL, to have the members decide on the best sports anime of the year.

In case there isn't enough, I'll just tag another year on until we have at least 8 animes.

For any artists out there, could you come up with some sort of FSAM Championship banner announcing this contest?
What if the Hokey Pokey is what it is all about?

Sounds like a great idea :) Did a quick research in MAL and it doesn't seem like there are enough anime, tho :( I think that adding another year or two will be good
Just a few questions:
1) What about short anime, Like Teekyuu? Will they be included?
2) How are we going to treat sequels? (for example - Baby Steps aired in 2014, and now we have the second season, airing from the summer) Are we going to judge the anime as a whole in a case like that?
3) In case of having only a sequel in these years (like the third season of Kuroko no Basket, which aired in 2015) should the season be jugded alone? Because if it is, then anime that fit the second question should also have their season judged separately, no?

Sorry for my bad English, hopefully I was clear enough. Can't wait to see that in action! :)

Perhaps best sport anime in this decade 2010-15. That way you have a large sample size and it's easier to treat sequels as individual entries.

I like this idea. Even though there's been a good amount of new sports anime lately, I think it'll still take the 5 years to get a good amount of entries. The only thing I'm not sure about is counting sequels as separate entries.

2010-2015 will be good imo. Now we just have to descide what to do with sequels...

Some seasons of a particular series are just head and shoulders above the others that come before and after it. Including them would also depend on how large the field is going to be, if it's only going to be 8 than the question becomes do you include the entire series if it happened to start before 2010 but continued into the window, or just the seasons in that window.

I think we better form a list first and then see what we're exactky talking about, considering each case to its own. Will do it later if no one else does since my eyes are killing me right now, ugh

As far as I can tell I'm pretty sure every major/popular sport title has at least 1 appearance between 2010-15, that's my bad. And while I don't want to burst the bubble, MAL's rankings aren't exactly what I'd considered flawed, so regardless as to how things match up in a bracket format the final result will fall into line with the rankings at least 99 times out of 100. The court of public opinion really doesn't allow for "upsets" in a situation like this. It's not like the madden cover vote where the most popular player among the options isn't regularly tracked.
