Best Chef?
| Erina has proven to be the best first year chef throughout the manga so far. Hell, she's already part of the elite ten. In the training camp she was always the first to finish the assignments and always scored the best (when she had over 400 servings at the buffet). During the Stagiaire Arc she made significant improvements to the kitchen she was working in right off the bat. Even in this current arc she is second among the whole school despite total sales not being her main goal. She is the best overall first year in the manga currently. She has talent as well as the skills to back it up. I think Hayama would be the closest to her right now. The rest of the first years will close the gap as the manga goes on however. I feel Erina will begin to stagnate like Shinomiya did due to not having any direct competition in her age group while the rest of the first years are battling it out among each other improving and refining their skills. I think she will wind up claiming the first seat by the time the group reaches their third year. That is unless the rest of the first years close the gap much faster than I thought. |
| Yeah, right now it's obviously Erina and Hayama at second. In the near future I think it will be Souma and Kurokiba though. |

He needs to expand his cooking from just seafood. If the main ingredient for the three way final was something other than seafood I feel he would have fallen significantly behind Souma and Hayama. Of course it is great to have a specialty you excel in, but you need to be well rounded. Hayama is well rounded, it helps when his specialty is spices. Which are used in all different types of cuisine and foods whether it be seafood, meat or vegetables. Souma has shown to be well rounded as well, but he has no specialty which he can call his own yet. So basically I think Souma is a sort of middle ground between Hayama and Kurokiba. |

| As much as I hate to admit it, Erina is better than everyone in the first year right now, its not just how well she can cook but how good of a chef she is. |

| Definitely Erina but why her name isn't in that list since she is a first year as well. |
