Ghost stories(Gakkou no Kaidan). Such a funny anime. I would recommend to watch it in english dub ( even though most anime are horrible in dub except this one). Dub is good for it because it fits the unique little brother (mentally incapable?) and the immature kids...

If you like Comedy, i personally recommend either The devil is a part timer, Full metal panic? Fumoffu, Soul eater or Haiyore! Nyaruko-san

If you like Mystery: i would have to recommend Tasogare Oteme X Amnesia, this anime was pretty interesting and i don't know if It was just me but near the end, this anime gave me the feels 0.o

If you like total badassery i would have to say: Log Horizon, Tokyo ghoul, Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu, Owari no seraph, Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei or Noragami

If you like High school anime: you would probably like: Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru., or Nisekoi.

yeah... i think that's about it :)
I'm pretty sure those anime will appeal to a lot of people

Mushishi is pretty easy to watch. You don't have do think about it that much and it's still really interesting.
